These terms govern your use of www.taxwriter.com (the "Site"), published by InterSearch Tax Solutions, Inc. ("we," "us"). By using the Site you agree to them.
1. What the Site is
The Site provides general information about tax deadlines, penalties, notices, and related topics, and templates you can fill in to produce letters and statements. It is an information resource, not a tax, legal, or accounting service.
2. Not advice, no client relationship
Nothing on the Site is advice about your situation. Reading the Site, using a template, or contacting us does not create a client, advisory, or fiduciary relationship with us or with any writer or reviewer named on the Site. Writers hold editorial titles, not professional credentials, unless a credential is stated. Where a page names a reviewer, that review was of the general content, not of your circumstances.
3. Templates and tools
The letter and calculator tools produce documents and estimates based only on what you enter. You are responsible for reviewing anything you send to a tax authority, for its accuracy, and for meeting your own deadlines. We do not see what you enter and cannot check it.
4. Accuracy
We work to keep the Site accurate and current, and every page shows when it was last reviewed. Tax rules change, and the Site may contain errors or be out of date. Content is provided as is with respect to accuracy and completeness. Verify any date, rate, or rule against the IRS or your state before acting on it.
5. Permitted use
You may read the Site and use the templates for your own personal or internal business purposes. You may not copy, republish, scrape, or redistribute the Site's content, or use it to train or feed automated systems, without our written permission. Documents you generate with the tools are yours to use.
6. Intellectual property
The Site, its text, design, logos, and code are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and trademark law. TaxWriter is a trademark of InterSearch Tax Solutions, Inc.
7. Third-party sites
The Site links to IRS.gov, state revenue departments, and other third-party sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY TAXES, PENALTIES, INTEREST, OR OTHER LOSSES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE SITE, OR FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Arizona law, without regard to conflict of law principles, and applicable federal law. You consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in the state courts in Maricopa County, Arizona, or the federal court for the District of Arizona.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date above changes when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
